HūRosa is growing through the people who choose to take part in it.

A retreat center becomes a living community through more than its buildings, gardens, and programs. It is shaped by people who feel connected to the vision, who enjoy contributing their time and practical gifts, and who are willing to help create a place of presence, care, beauty, shared responsibility, and meaningful human connection.
We welcome local friends, travelers, builders, creatives, and people who are simply curious to get involved. You may have a few hours, a full day, a weekend, or a longer chapter to offer. The work may include painting, gardening, cooking, preparing rooms, cleaning, organizing, decorating, maintenance, or whatever is most needed that week. Each completed task helps prepare the spaces and atmosphere that future guests, retreat participants, and members will enter into.
Volunteering is a way to experience HūRosa from the inside: to collaborate, share meals, meet others, spend time on the land, and practice the values that guide the center through real daily acts of service. Care, reliability, attention, deep listening, respect for the land, and a willingness to contribute are all part of how this vision becomes tangible.
Volunteers and residents play an important role in tending the welcome people will feel here. Every room prepared with care, every meal shared, every garden tended, and every act of service strengthens the living field of warmth, coherence, and love that HūRosa is here to offer.
Your volunteer time will also be recognized through the HūRosa points pathway. As the Founders Circle and wider membership develop, points will build toward future member gatherings, selected member-only retreats, and other HūRosa experiences.
For those who feel drawn to longer-term involvement, volunteering is also an early way to become part of the project and get to know the team through shared experience. Future opportunities for residency, collaboration, program creation, and paid roles will naturally grow from the community of people who are already helping bring HūRosa forward.
Come for a shift, a day, a weekend, or a longer chapter and help create a sanctuary that will nourish many people in the years ahead.
Ways to Join In
As a Volunteer
However much time you have, there is a place for you here. We have shaped our volunteer offerings to meet people where they are — from a single afternoon to a full weekend immersed in the project and the community.
And because we believe that genuine contribution deserves genuine reciprocity, every four-hour shift you complete earns you a credit in our community exchange. Credits can be applied toward future HūRosa events and programs, and open doors to member-only gatherings as they come to life. The more you give to this, the more it gives back to you.
Four Hours and Go
Come for a single four-hour shift.
This is perfect for those who live nearby, are passing through Andalucía, or simply want to show up, feel it out, and contribute without a bigger commitment.
You arrive, join the team, work alongside good people, and leave knowing your hands moved something real forward .

Come Help Bring
the Vision to Life
If you feel called to lend your hands, your skills, your presence, or your enthusiasm, we would love to hear from you.
Whether you come for four hours, a full day, or a weekend, your contribution helps us bring this retreat center, sanctuary, and community space into form.
Come be part of the beginning!

HūRosa
Community Exchange
We believe meaningful contribution deserves meaningful reciprocity.
Community Exchange honors the time, skill, care, and presence that help bring HūRosa into being.
Every four-hour block of verified volunteer contribution earns one Community Exchange point. Points accumulate toward annual membership within the HūRosa Founding Circle.
A completed Weekend Volunteer Retreat earns a fixed six-point Community Exchange credit. This recognizes the full commitment of the weekend, including arrival, orientation, shared work, coordination, closing care, and participation in the collective rhythm of the retreat. This credit is separate from the standard one-point-per-four-hour volunteer-shift calculation.
With a completed volunteer retreat, participants enter Iron Annual Membership: the first tier of the HūRosa membership journey. Iron Members receive the HūRosa Members Letter, early invitations to member-only events and retreats as they are offered, Founding Recognition on the HūRosa website for those who wish to be acknowledged, and a place within the growing HūRosa circle.
From Iron, points may continue to accumulate toward Bronze, Copper, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The Founding Circle follows a material arc inspired by the alchemical understanding that transformation unfolds through participation, relationship, refinement, and embodied service. Iron marks the first threshold of committed action.
Bronze honors the joining of many gifts into a shared work.
Copper carries the qualities of beauty, relationship, and care;
Silver invites reflection and deeper attunement;
Gold represents mature generosity and the radiance of sustained service.
Platinum honors enduring stewardship and a long-form relationship with the sanctuary.
Together, these levels offer more than recognition for contribution. They describe a living path through which practical support, shared work, inner development, and belonging can grow together.
Members may progress through Community Exchange, through a Founding Contribution, or through Participation + Patronage, which brings practical contribution and financial support together within one membership pathway.
Each new level begins a fresh twelve-month membership period at that level.
Beginning at Bronze, active members will be welcomed into the HūRosa Online Community when it opens – an evolving space for online studies, shared learning, practice, and connection.
As members move into higher levels, they also receive the additional benefits connected with those levels, including course benefits, reserved gatherings for Silver, Gold, and Platinum members, and complimentary places at the annual HūRosa Members Retreat where these are included.
