residency program
This retreat center is being brought to life through the practical contribution of people who want to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
We are opening a limited number of residency places for people who wish to live on-site, contribute their skills, and participate in the daily rhythm of the project during this important launch phase. This is an opportunity to be part of a living sanctuary as it takes form – through practical work, shared responsibility, beauty, care, and community.
We are looking for residents who are grounded, reliable, generous in spirit, and ready to contribute meaningfully. The right people will understand that this is both a place of service and a place of transformation: a chance to support the creation of a retreat center while also living close to nature, community, spiritual life, and daily practice.
This is an opportunity to take part in the early development of a retreat center and sanctuary in the mountain landscape of the Alpujarras in southern Spain.
What You Receive
As part of the residency, you receive the opportunity to live within a meaningful vision while supporting its creation.
This may include:
- Being part of a project intended to positively impact many people’s lives
- Contributing your time and skills in alignment with a high purpose
- Living in community with like-minded souls
- A room with a private bathroom
- Breakfast, Lunch, and Light Dinner
- Filtered Water
- Laundry facilities
- Pool Access
- Internet in Community Zones
- Opportunities for outings to the extraordinary natural places around us, including hot springs, Mediterranean beaches, caves, mountain hikes, lakes, mountain towns, and waterfalls
This is more than accommodation. It is an invitation into a way of life rooted in practice, service, beauty, nature, and shared purpose.

Our Ethos
We take care of one another, and we are united by the shared mission.
The inner life is a daily practice. The love field is a living reality we tend together. We value completion as much as inspiration. We lead with the heart, and we honor the practical work required to make beauty real.
We are looking for people who understand that a sanctuary is created through both devotion and responsibility, through meditation and mopping floors, through vision and follow-through, through vision and follow-through, through inspiration and completion.

This Is a Call to Those Who:
- Value reflective practice, healthy living, and thoughtful shared life
- Have the time, energy, and reliability to contribute meaningfully
- Approach shared work with care and a spirit of service
- Value clear communication, good judgment, humility, and follow-through
- Bring practical skills, creative initiative, or a readiness to learn
- Are comfortable with contemplative life alongside practical work
- Want to help prepare a retreat center, temple, and sanctuary for opening
This is a focused service residency for people who want to contribute to the early foundation of a retreat center that is still taking shape.

A Residency Path That Fits Your Stay
People arrive at HūRosa with different needs, capacities, and intentions.
Some are looking for a focused way to contribute to the practical development of the retreat center.
Some are carrying online work, a creative project, or a professional path that would benefit from a peaceful and well-supported base.
Others are seeking time away for rest, reflection, and renewed direction, with meals, nature, and a caring environment already in place.
For this reason, we have created four residency paths.
Each offers a different balance of contribution, independence, accommodation, meals, and participation in the shared rhythm of the center.
Whether you are joining as a resident contributor, coming for a supported period of focused work, or choosing a private retreat stay, HūRosa offers a beautiful setting in which to live more simply, restore your attention, and take meaningful steps in the direction that matters to you.
Explore the paths below to see which arrangement best suits your time, needs, and hopes for your stay.
