We are a gathering of kindred souls – teachers, artists, healers, builders, and visionaries creating a retreat center in the foothills of the Alpujarras in Andalucía, Spain that we believe the world genuinely needs.

A living sanctuary and a real community. Somewhere people come to grow, heal, and find themselves, and keep coming back to. A place that deepens through time, and that people, over time, come to belong to.

The HūRosa Builders Circle is an invitation to help make that real – from the very beginning.

We are in the founding phase of reimagining one of the most prominent retreat sites in Andalucía, and we are calling in a core circle of people who feel drawn to be part of building this from its roots.

It’s a call for those who feel a genuine pull toward service – toward work that is alive, making a difference, and in line with who they actually are.

For those who understand that the world shifts one heart at a time, and who want to be in the rooms where that is happening.

We are looking for residents, long-term volunteers, facilitators, and co-dreamers. People willing to show up, dig in, and hold the vision together while the foundation is being laid,
and become part of the team who helped bring something genuinely rare and special into the world: a community, a culture, a school, a sanctuary, and a retreat for those who are ready to receive it.

You can get involved by living on-site as a resident, becoming a founding member, joining a volunteer retreat, offering your time in hands-on building experiences, donating funds and above all, by becoming part of a team that carries this vision into creation.

Our deepest hope is that stepping into this becomes, for the right people, a step more fully into what you know is right.

That together we build something none of us could arrive at alone.

The Retreat Center

Nestled in the foothills of the Alpujarras in southern Andalucía, HūRosa is a nonprofit cultural and educational foundation based at a retreat center: a place for renewal, spiritual cultivation, sacred arts, cultural exchange, and human development.

HūRosa begins with a simple understanding: each person is a living instrument. As the body, heart, mind, relationships, work, and daily life come into greater harmony, more clarity, vitality, creativity, love, purpose, and capacity can move through a life.

People come for many forms of renewal and growth: a restorative week away from home; deeper mystical study and practice; time for creative work; stronger relationships; clearer direction; practical tools for livelihood, leadership, and financial well-being; or new resources for teams and workplaces seeking a healthier, more balanced way of working together.

Sacred sound is a central path within HūRosa. Through voice, listening, rhythm, chant, music, silence, and the study of sound as a force for human development, we cultivate deeper presence, attunement, and connection. HūRosa will host training programs, immersions, and conferences devoted to this field, bringing together practitioners, teachers, musicians, researchers, and those called to explore its cultural, therapeutic, spiritual, and communal dimensions.

Through practice, learning, nourishing food, nature, ceremony, music, and shared inquiry, Hūṙosa offers conditions for people to become more grounded, awake, capable, and fully expressed – bringing more of themselves to what they are here to love, create, lead, and serve.
